Wearable sensor tracks ALS progression in real life

NCT ID NCT04882904

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) affects daily movement by having about 20 participants wear a small sensor called Actimyo for one month after each clinic visit. Over a year, researchers will measure walking speed and stride length during everyday activities. The goal is to see if this sensor can reliably track disease progression, which could help improve future care and monitoring.
