Antioxidant tested to shield against painful erection damage
NCT ID NCT07391709
Summary
This was an animal study to see if a natural antioxidant called alpha lipoic acid could protect against tissue damage caused by a prolonged, painful erection (priapism). Researchers created a priapism model in 18 rats to test the compound. The goal was to learn if the treatment could reduce biochemical signs of damage and improve tissue health under a microscope.
