First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested a drug called alisertib, either alone or combined with the hormone therapy fulvestrant, in 96 postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer that had stopped responding to standard hormone treatments. The goal was to see if these treatments could shrink tumors or slow cancer growth. The approach targets cancer cells by blocking certain enzymes and reducing estrogen's effects.
