Do graphic warning labels make drinkers think twice about cancer?

NCT ID NCT06129487

First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding pictures and stories to alcohol warning labels makes people pay more attention and feel more at risk for cancers like mouth, throat, and voice box cancer. Over 1,000 adults who drink regularly took part. They viewed different warning labels, and researchers measured how much they looked at them, how they reacted, and if they planned to cut back or quit drinking.
