Supplement plus exercise: a boost for beginners?
NCT ID NCT07404540
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jul 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking β-alanine, a common supplement, could improve exercise performance in 43 healthy young adults who were not regular exercisers. Participants took either β-alanine or a placebo daily for six weeks while following a supervised training program. Researchers measured changes in muscle strength, aerobic capacity, body fat, and blood markers before and after the program.
