Summary

This study tests a modified bird-dog exercise, called the Multifidus Lift, in 40 university students aged 18-25 with nonspecific low back pain. Participants do the exercise twice weekly for 6 weeks. Researchers measure back endurance, pain, and disability to see if this low-cost approach helps.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Modified Multifidus Lift Exercise (a stabilization exercise)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, low-cost exercise to reduce pain and disability in young adults with low back pain.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 40 participants. The exercise may not provide significant benefits over standard care, and results may not apply to older or more severe populations.
