First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests a natural omega-3 supplement (ALA) in 20 older adults with mild memory problems and a genetic risk for Alzheimer's (APOE4). The goal is to see if ALA can protect the brain's blood vessels and barrier, potentially slowing or preventing further memory decline. Participants will take the supplement or a placebo for 6 months, with brain scans and memory tests to measure effects.
