Clean air for healthy hearts: pilot study tests smart home intervention
NCT ID NCT06384625
First seen Nov 11, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This pilot study tested an indoor air pollution program called AIRWISE in 20 adults aged 55 and older with heart disease. The program included air purifiers, a color-changing air quality monitor, and educational materials to help people reduce their exposure to indoor air pollution. The main goal was to see if participants would use the tools and find them helpful, not to measure health outcomes. Results will guide a larger future study.
