Scientists hunt for pollution clues in Non-Smokers' lungs

NCT ID NCT06800586

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at how air pollution particles get into the bodies of non-smokers who have lung cancer, COPD, or leukemia. Researchers will compare these patients with healthy volunteers to find new markers that show how pollution causes disease. The goal is to better understand these mechanisms so we can develop tools to slow or stop pollution-related illnesses.
