AI steps in to counsel breast cancer patients on genetic testing
NCT ID NCT04354675
Summary
This study aimed to understand if an artificial intelligence (AI) program could be as effective as traditional, in-person genetic counseling. It focused on women newly diagnosed with breast cancer who did not meet standard guidelines for genetic testing. Researchers compared how many women chose to get tested and how satisfied they were with the counseling process between the AI and human counselor groups.
