First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) device could help doctors better identify skin conditions. Sixteen doctors (including general practitioners and dermatologists) reviewed 29 images of various skin issues, first giving a diagnosis on their own, then with the AI's suggestions. The goal was to see if AI support improved diagnostic accuracy and reduced the need for specialist referrals.
