First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether using artificial intelligence (AI) to help read mammograms could find breast cancer more effectively than the usual method of two radiologists reading each scan. Over 100,000 women took part. The goal was to see if AI could reduce missed cancers and false alarms while keeping the process efficient.
