AI spots hidden heart risk in old scans, triggers Life-Saving meds
NCT ID NCT06235112
Summary
This study is testing if telling doctors about hidden heart artery calcium, found by AI in old chest CT scans, leads them to start or increase preventive medications. It involves 1,500 adults aged 40-75 who have had a chest CT in the last 3 years but no prior heart disease. The goal is to see if this AI alert system improves prevention and reduces future heart attacks or strokes.
