First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study is developing artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help pathologists more accurately diagnose and predict the behavior of rare uterine smooth muscle tumors, including those that are hard to classify as benign or malignant. Researchers will train deep learning models on digital images of tumor tissue from about 392 patients. The goal is to create a system that can automatically classify tumor types and forecast patient outcomes, potentially improving treatment decisions.
