AI aims to slash unnecessary prostate biopsies

NCT ID NCT06589154

Summary

This study tested a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool designed to help doctors better diagnose prostate cancer. The tool combines information from a blood test and an MRI scan to more accurately tell if a man needs a biopsy. The goal is to reduce the number of unnecessary, invasive biopsies for men whose prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels are in a confusing middle range.
