First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tests an AI software called iPredict-DR that analyzes eye photos to find early signs of diabetic retinopathy, a leading cause of blindness. About 922 adults with diabetes will get their eyes checked with a special camera in primary care clinics. The goal is to see if the AI can spot serious eye disease as accurately as eye doctors, making screening faster and more accessible.
