AI-Powered ECG could spot hidden heart disease faster

NCT ID NCT05557162

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool could help doctors detect cardiac amyloidosis, a rare but serious heart condition, earlier using standard electrocardiograms (ECGs). Over 20,000 patients were involved, with some doctors using the AI-enhanced ECG and others continuing usual care. The goal was to see if the AI tool leads to more and earlier diagnoses.
