First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using artificial intelligence (AI) during colonoscopy helps find more polyps in people with Lynch syndrome, a genetic condition that increases colon cancer risk. One hundred participants had two colonoscopies in a row, with the second using either AI or standard high-definition imaging. The goal was to see if AI improves detection of polyps that could become cancerous.
