AI-Powered heart scans could predict heart attacks before they happen

NCT ID NCT07577609

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study is testing whether artificial intelligence can make CT scans of the heart better at predicting future heart attacks. Researchers will follow 10,000 adults who are already getting a heart CT for medical reasons. Participants will also give blood samples, have an ECG, and fill out health questionnaires. The goal is to see if AI can spot hidden risks that standard scans might miss.
