NCT ID NCT07761663
First seen Aug 12, 2026 · Last updated Aug 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests whether a smart nursing AI agent can help middle-aged and older adults with mobility limitations improve their health self-management. Participants will be randomly assigned to either use the AI agent for 8 weeks or continue with standard health education. The study will measure changes in sarcopenia risk, nutrition, physical activity, and quality of life to see if the AI agent offers added benefits.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- A smart nursing AI agent that provides daily interaction, reminders, personalized recommendations, activity monitoring, goal setting, motivational support, and health self-management education.
- What this could lead to
- If effective, this AI agent could offer a new way to support older adults in managing their health at home, potentially improving mobility, nutrition, and quality of life.
- What could go wrong
- This is a relatively small trial, and the AI agent's benefits may not be confirmed or may not apply to all older adults. There is also a risk that participants may not engage with the technology as expected.
