One procedure, two goals: new approach aims to fix irregular heartbeat and block stroke risk
NCT ID NCT07450755
Summary
This study is collecting information on a combined medical procedure. Doctors perform two tasks at once: they use a special energy (pulse field ablation) to correct an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), and they place a small device to seal off a part of the heart to help prevent strokes. The goal is to see if doing both procedures together is safe, effective, and reduces hospital time compared to doing them separately.
