Summary
This study looked at whether giving high-risk pregnant women in the emergency department extra emotional support through positive affirmations could lower their stress and help them cope with uncertainty. 102 women took part, with half receiving routine care plus encouraging words and the other half receiving only routine care. Researchers measured stress and uncertainty levels before and after to see if the affirmations made a difference.
