Summary
This study tests whether a drug called dexmedetomidine, which calms the body's stress response, can help people with severe septic shock who are not responding to standard treatments. About 360 adults will receive either dexmedetomidine plus usual care or usual care alone. The main goal is to see if the drug reduces the number of deaths within 30 days.
