New radiation technique aims to hit cancer harder with fewer side effects

NCT ID NCT05880667

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tests a type of radiation that adapts to the tumor's shape and location, allowing doctors to give a higher dose to cancer in the abdomen or pelvis while keeping severe side effects under 10%. About 30 adults with metastatic solid tumors (any type) that need local control or symptom relief will receive this treatment. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and can deliver more radiation without causing serious harm.
