Acupuncture needles take on hot flashes in breast cancer survivors

Summary

This study tests whether acupuncture can safely reduce hot flashes in women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer who are on hormone therapy. Sixty participants will receive either real or sham acupuncture three times a week for eight weeks, then be followed for 16 more weeks. Researchers will also use brain scans to explore how acupuncture might work.
