Zapping away pain: can electric needles help breast cancer survivors?
NCT ID NCT02754752
Summary
This study is testing whether a form of acupuncture using mild electrical currents can help reduce long-term pain in women who have been treated for early-stage breast cancer. It will involve 111 women who have had persistent pain for at least 3 months after finishing cancer treatment. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either real electroacupuncture, a sham (fake) version, or no acupuncture to see which is most effective for pain relief.
