First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether acupressure—a gentle finger-pressure technique—can reduce nerve pain, improve balance confidence, and lessen fear of falling in people 65 and older with painful diabetic nerve damage. About 76 participants will receive either real acupressure or a placebo version over one month. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free approach can improve daily life and quality of life.
