Mimicry therapy boosts stroke recovery in small trial

NCT ID NCT06501014

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding action observation therapy (watching and imitating movements) to standard rehab helps chronic stroke patients. 30 adults over 40 who could walk independently took part. One group did action observation exercises at home plus conventional therapy; the other did only conventional therapy. Researchers measured walking distance, balance, and motor skills to see if the extra therapy made a difference.
