First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding action observation therapy (watching and imitating movement videos) to standard physical therapy helps chronic stroke patients walk farther and balance better. Thirty adults over 40 who had a stroke at least 6 months ago took part. One group did video-based exercises at home plus conventional rehab, while the other group did only conventional rehab. The goal was to see if the video method improves walking distance, leg movement, and balance.
