This study looked at how well a standard glucose tolerance test (drinking a sugary drink) can help diagnose acromegaly, a condition where the body makes too much growth hormone. Researchers tested 109 adults, some with acromegaly and some without, to see if the test results were consistent and useful. The goal was to improve diagnosis accuracy for this rare disorder.
