First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether a daily dose of acetyl-leucine (a modified amino acid) can improve balance and coordination in people who have had a stroke affecting the back part of the brain. Two hundred adults who recently had a stroke and have trouble walking or staying steady will receive either the drug or a placebo for three months. The main goal is to see if the drug helps them regain balance and reduces the risk of falling.
