First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether starting a type of dialysis (CVVHDF) immediately after a blood-filtering treatment can help people who have swallowed a large amount of the herbicide diquat. Diquat poisoning can cause severe organ damage and death. The trial will include 24 adults with very high levels of diquat in their blood. The goal is to see if this fast treatment approach lowers the risk of death and reduces time in the hospital.
