First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 151 people with colorectal cancer that spread to the liver (tumors 5 cm or smaller). Researchers compared two treatments: using heat to destroy tumors (ablation) plus medication, versus surgically removing tumors plus medication. The goal was to see which approach helped patients live longer without the cancer getting worse.
