First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at whether one session of abdominal massage can improve blood vessel stiffness, muscle oxygen levels, and exercise ability in adults with chronic constipation. About 30 people took part, with some receiving the massage and others resting instead. Researchers measured changes right before and after the session to see if massage offers any short-term benefits.
