Summary
This study tested whether abdominal acupuncture can help women regain normal bowel function more quickly after gynecologic laparoscopic surgery. 80 female patients aged 18-65 who had a hysterectomy participated. The main goal was to see if acupuncture reduced the time to first passing gas and having a bowel movement after surgery.
