New shot aims to clear brain plaques in Alzheimer's and down syndrome

Summary
This study tests an experimental therapy called ACI-24.060 in people with early Alzheimer's and non-demented adults with Down syndrome. The treatment is designed to train the immune system to attack amyloid plaques in the brain, which are linked to Alzheimer's. The main goals are to check safety and see if it can slow disease progression. About 176 participants will receive either the therapy or a placebo.
