New shot aims to slow Alzheimer's in people with down syndrome

Summary
This study tests an experimental treatment called ACI-24.060 in people with early Alzheimer's disease and in adults with Down syndrome who do not have dementia. The goal is to see if it is safe and can help the immune system clear harmful amyloid plaques from the brain. About 304 participants will receive either the treatment or a placebo, and researchers will monitor side effects, brain scans, and immune responses over time.
