First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compared a new type of PET scan (68Ga-FAPI) with the standard FDG-PET scan to see which one is better at finding lung cancer and its spread. 58 adults with known or suspected lung cancer received both scans, and the results were checked against tissue samples or follow-up. The goal is to improve how doctors diagnose and stage lung cancer.
