First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a special PET scan that uses a radioactive tracer (64Cu-DOTA-trastuzumab) to find HER2-positive breast cancer tumors in women with advanced stage IV disease. The goal was to see if the scan could tell the difference between HER2-positive and HER2-negative tumors, helping doctors plan better treatments. 18 women participated, and the scan measured how much tracer the tumors absorbed after 24 and 48 hours.
