What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for people with advanced lung or stomach cancer that has not responded to other therapies.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial (Phase I/II) with only 170 participants, so the drug may not prove effective or safe enough for wider use. Side effects could be significant.
