First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study is testing a new 3D-printed biodegradable mesh used during breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer. The mesh is designed to support the implant and help tissue heal, with the goal of improving cosmetic results and patient satisfaction. About 25 women aged 18-70 who need a full mastectomy and want immediate implant reconstruction will take part. The study will measure how satisfied patients are with their breasts and overall outcome, and track safety and cancer recurrence.
