First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests a program called the 3 Wishes Project in safety-net hospitals, which serve diverse and disadvantaged patients. The program helps fulfill small, meaningful wishes for dying patients—like playing favorite music or connecting with loved ones—to improve their final moments. Researchers will ask families and nurses about their experiences to see if the program reduces stress and improves the quality of end-of-life care.
