New program aims to help black women with HIV and abuse history stay healthy and safe

Summary

This study tests a 5-session program for Black women living with HIV who have experienced intimate partner violence in the past 2 years. The program teaches skills to manage stigma, improve communication, and connect with HIV care and safety resources. Researchers will check if the program helps women attend HIV visits, take their medication, and use safety strategies. About 100 women will take part.
