New scan could spot hidden prostate cancer earlier

Summary
This study is testing a new radioactive tracer called 18F-PSMA-1007 for PET/CT scans to see if it can better detect where prostate cancer has spread in the body. About 2800 adults who have already been treated for prostate cancer but have signs of possible recurrence will get the scan. Researchers will check for side effects and follow up for a year to see if suspicious spots on the scan turn out to be cancer.
