Non-Invasive scan could replace risky procedure for curable hypertension
NCT ID NCT06100367
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests a special PET scan (11C-Metomidate) to identify adrenal tumors that cause high blood pressure and can be cured with surgery. About 100 adults with suspected adrenal-related hypertension will receive the scan to see if it can accurately detect which patients have a curable tumor, potentially replacing the current invasive and difficult adrenal vein sampling procedure.
