Heart bypass patients: does a year of two blood thinners pay off a decade later?
NCT ID NCT07480629
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study follows 500 heart bypass patients for 10 years to see if taking two blood thinners (ticagrelor plus aspirin) for one year after surgery reduces the risk of heart attacks, strokes, or death compared to taking just one. Participants will be contacted by phone to report their health and any heart-related events. The goal is to learn whether short-term dual therapy provides lasting benefits.
