Experimental CART123 therapy targets tough blood cancers in early trial
Disease control OngoingThis early-phase trial tests a personalized cell therapy called CART123 for people with certain blood cancers (like AML or MDS) that have not responded to standard treatments. Each patient's own immune cells are modified in a lab to recognize and attack cancer cells. The main goa…

Can a targeted drug hit the mark in Hard-to-Treat blood cancers?
Disease control OngoingThis trial tests an experimental drug called IMGN632 in people with certain blood cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm. The drug is designed to find and attack cancer cells that carry a protein called CD123 on their surface. R…

Could removing certain immune cells prevent a deadly transplant complication?
Disease control OngoingThis study tests whether removing a specific type of immune cell (naive T cells) from donor stem cells can prevent chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in children and young adults with blood cancers. GVHD occurs when donor cells attack the patient's body after a stem cell tr…

Engineered immune cells take aim at stubborn blood cancers
Disease control OngoingThis early-phase trial tests a new type of immunotherapy for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) that has returned or not responded to treatment. Researchers take a patient's own (or a donor's) T-cells, modify them in…

New stem cell therapy aims to tame transplant complications
Disease control OngoingThis study tests a new treatment called Orca-T for people with advanced blood cancers like leukemia. It uses a special mix of stem cells and immune cells from a donor to help the body accept the transplant while reducing serious side effects like graft-versus-host disease. The go…

New hope for tough blood cancers: experimental drug MGD024 enters human testing
Disease control OngoingThis early-stage study tests a new drug called MGD024 in people with certain blood cancers (like leukemia and lymphoma) that came back or didn't get better with standard treatments. The main goal is to find the safest dose and watch for side effects. About 130 adults will receive…

New drug combo aims to make bone marrow transplants safer
Disease control OngoingThis phase 2 trial tests whether adding the drug tocilizumab to a standard transplant regimen can prevent graft failure and graft-versus-host disease in people with blood cancers receiving a special type of bone marrow transplant. The study involves 21 participants and aims to re…
