First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at 36 people with severe bone loss in the upper jaw who needed special cheekbone (zygomatic) implants. Researchers compared two surgical methods—placing the implant inside the sinus or outside the sinus—to see which gave better stability and fewer sinus problems. The goal was to find the best approach for a strong, lasting implant.
