Gene carriers may avoid bone disease with early treatment

Summary
This study follows people who carry a gene mutation that puts them at high risk for Paget's disease of the bone. Researchers want to see if a single dose of zoledronic acid (a bone-strengthening drug) can prevent or delay the disease compared to a placebo. Participants will be monitored for symptoms and bone changes over 5 more years.
