Summary
This study looked at whether taking zinc by mouth every day is safe and doable for people with GNAO1 disorders—rare genetic conditions that cause movement problems, seizures, and developmental delays. Thirteen participants aged 6 months to 30 years took zinc for 6 months. Researchers tracked side effects, blood levels, and how well families stuck with the daily routine. The goal was to see if zinc might help with motor skills, behavior, and quality of life.
